The studied ballet dancer, actress and singer first came to notice in 1978 with the dance group "Hot Gossip". She made the UK Top 10 with the single "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trouper", which she until today wants to ban from her memory. But it was the start of a career. In 1981 she auditioned for Andrew Lloyd Webber´s musical "Cats" in London, and was noticed again. This time by the composer himself. Andrew Lloyd Webber remembers it. He describes her voice as "sweet and lovely". He did not think more until they worked together around the piano. And that was that. They were married in 1984. Until today, and even after their divorcee in 1990, Andrew remains the driving force behind her career. Sarah Brightman became established as one
of the premier leading ladies of musical theatre. In "Cats"
she sang With José Carreras she sang the Olympic Anthem, "Amigos Para Sempre" in 1992, which was inevitably written by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Later in the 90s she made her debut in the straight theatre with appearances in "Trelawny Of the Wells" and "Relative Values". Today she is with composer Frank Peterson
and spends a lot of time in Hamburg, Germany. Here they experimenting
with voice and sounds, which results in three solo albums: "FLY",
